MED – ON – WHEELS VOL. II: PROTECTING THE MEDITERRANEAN SEA THROUGH EDUCATION, AWARENESS, AND ENGAGEMENT

Enalia Physis has brought the fascinating world of the Mediterranean sea world to classrooms, blurring the limits of earth, sea and city. Through blended educational techniques, innovative and creative workshops and transformative pathways, MedONwheels instilled the new generation with a sense of responsibility for the conservation of the environment, by creating knowledgeable, passionate and responsible islanders who are well-informed and can advocate on behalf of the natural world. MED – ON – WHEELS VOL. II, funded by Exness, commits to spread its wings to more Cypriot classrooms, engage not just children but also adults in interactive family events, and enrich the educational material available in the Greek language regarding the Mediterranean Sea and its marine occupants. 

Target activities

1. Organisation of 5 family events near the sea to promote knowledge transfer and learning, not just for children but also parents.
2. Continuation of the visits at remote schools including all 5 districts of Cyprus. 
3. Modification of the already prepared material in order to obtain an ISBN in Cyprus, from the Cyprus Library (national ISBN agency) and the publication of 5 educational books on the sea life in the Mediterranean Sea.
