About Enalia Physis Environmental Research Centre
Enalia Physis Environmental Research Centre is a Cyprus-based non-profit organisation
dedicated to environmental and marine research, conservation, and education. We work
closely with local communities, authorities and international partners to promote evidence-
based environmental protection and awareness.
We are seeking a motivated Project Officer to cover a maternity leave, with the possibility of
extension beyond the cover period depending on performance and organisational needs.

Key Responsibilities
The Project Officer will support the smooth implementation of ongoing projects and the
general operation of the organisation. Main duties include:
– Managing project implementation, including work plans, reporting and basic financial
monitoring.
– Liaising with stakeholders, partners, authorities and local communities.
– Designing, organising and delivering stakeholder and community workshops.
– Monitoring funding calls and supporting the preparation of relevant documentation.
– Contributing to proposal writing and project development.
– Participating in environmental education and outreach activities (e.g. school visits,
public events).
– Carrying out office administration tasks (e.g. correspondence, filing, meeting
preparation, agendas, presentations).
– Supporting fieldwork, literature reviews and data processing/analysis when required.
The position is based in Larnaca district and may occasionally require travel within Cyprus
and some flexibility in working hours (e.g. for events or fieldwork).

Essential Qualifications & Skills
– Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g. Environmental Science, Conservation,
Marine Science, Biology, related natural/environmental disciplines).
– Minimum one year of professional experience or equivalent research experience.
– Excellent spoken and written Greek and English.
– Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office/Google Workspace; familiarity with online
collaboration tools).
– Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Desirable
– Master’s degree in a relevant field.
– Experience in EU or other funded project management (e.g. reporting, budgets,
deliverables).
– Experience in communication, outreach and public engagement (e.g. events, social
media, campaigns).
– Strong organisational, multitasking and administrative abilities, with attention to
detail.
– Ability to work both independently and as part of a small, multidisciplinary team.
– Commitment to environmental protection, research and education.
