Environmental
Advocacy
At Enalia Physis, environmental advocacy bridges our scientific research with real-world impact. We work to ensure that the knowledge we generate translates into stronger policies, better protection measures, and meaningful change for the ecosystems of Cyprus and the eastern Mediterranean. Through evidence-based recommendations, policy briefs, and active participation in national and regional decision-making processes, we support the development of sustainable management strategies for marine and terrestrial environments. Our advocacy efforts highlight critical issues such as the need for effective marine protected areas and the reduction of bycatch and provide clear, science-driven guidance to policymakers, stakeholders, and the wider community. By transforming research into action, we help shape a future where nature is safeguarded through informed and responsible governance.
